Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Today, we were leaving Garmisch and thank god we did because we woke up to snow on the ground. We were not prepared for cold weather so we were glad we were leaving! We had to walk in the snow to get to the train station because we couldn’t figure out how to call for a taxi. It was awful because of course I over packed so my duffle was so heavy!! Plus, one of the straps ripped  so that made it even more difficult.

Our first train was delayed 20 minutes which didn’t help us because we had 2 other trains to catch and they were all very close to each other. So needless to say to missed our second train. We went to the information desk and he told us we could get on another train then get on the one to Paris. But, the train to Paris was all reversed seats so we got on it right when it arrived to get seats. We were nervous that we were going to get kicked off because the train was full and we didn’t have reversed seats.  The guy comes around to check tickets and we tell him what happened and he give us our tickets back and said, “Let’s go to Paris!” Finally, we were good and we were on our way to Paris…NOT…we get to the last stop before Paris and all these people were coming on and looking for there seats.

So, Jordan and I were sweating in our seats worried that we were going to get kicked out of our seats. Well soon enough this big, old guy came up to us and started speaking French and pointed to the numbers of the seats. So, we had to get up and move to another seats but the train was full so there weren’t any seats!! We had to stand/ sit where the door was for the last 2 hours of the trip. We finally get into Paris and got to our Airbnb and we both just pasted out. That day was the longest travel day ever!

Today was much better we explored the city! We went out to find the Eiffel Tower. On our way we found an open market, which stretched the length of the street. Once we got out of that we knew the tower was close but we couldn’t find it then we turned around and BOOM there it was, in all its glory! It fit so perfectly in the city. It was so pretty; it was also bigger than I thought it was. We hung out on the grass facing the tower. It was such a nice day, it was great to have the sun on our skin! We didn’t see the sun in Germany. After that we went to the church of Norte Dame. It was beautiful, the stain glass windows inside were amazing. Also, the church’s architecture was so detailed. We walked around it and went shopping in the shops that were near. We found an Italian gelato place that made the gelato into a flower. It was good but I have had better in Italy haha! We went grocery shopping and got ready for Disneyland for the next day!

Got up early to catch a train to Disney, it was a hour and a half to get there but the train took us right into the park. Disneyland Paris is much smaller than Disneyworld! Disneyland Paris only has two different parks. They do these fast passes now and its like making a reservation for a ride instead of wasting your time in line. You can get a fast pass and go do other things while you wait for your time to go on the ride.  It was packed with people with a bunch of little kids! Our whole day was pretty much just standing in line and only going on a couple of rides. We were not dressed warm enough, it was so windy my hands were freezing!

I think my favorite ride was Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril. It was fast and went in a 360 loop...it was fun! Once we got back to our Airbnb we had made dinner then heading back out to the Eiffel Tower to go up to the top! It was amazing at night, the start of every hour it sparkles…so pretty! The Tower had 3 different levels. The first level was a café, restaurant and a shop, the second level was another shop and a better view but then you go all the way to the top and the view is amazing! They compare the height of the Eiffel Tower to other tall buildings and the Empire State is taller. It was so cold and windy, but we were so glad we were at the top of the Eiffel Tower because there was a shooting at the Arch! We were so blessed that we decided to not go there that night!

When we were planning this trip there was suppose to be a third person coming with us and she bought a 2-day Disney pass with me and Jordan only bought a one-day pass. That third person decided not to come with us on the trip, so today I went to Disney myself! I went to the second park, Walt Disney Studios and I actually enjoyed myself. I had time all to myself. I didn’t have to wait for anyone or worry what other people wanted to do. I could do whatever I wanted! Studios park was so much better than the other park. There were more adult rides and not little kids ones! Also, they had the option of single rider, which was a shorter wait time and was perfect for me because I was by myself.

My favorite rides were Crush’s Coaster and Ratatouille….so fun! I did Rock n Roller coaster last and I’m so glad I did because it was so fast and gave me a headache. After Disney I met Jordan at the Louvre. This was the biggest art museum I have ever been too! It just kept on going and going. The pyramids were huge and you go down into it to start the tour! I thought the Mona Lisa was overrated; she is so small compared to the other pieces in the museum. Some of them were as tall as the whole wall.

Today was our last day in Paris. We started our day out going to a flea market. It was pretty cool, a bunch of old stuff. I found an Elle fashion magazine from 1962 it is all in French but it’s still very cool. Then we went to Jardin du Palais Royal it was really cool, there were different sized pillars where we took pictures on. We had so much trouble trying to get up on the taller ones. Then, we went to Arc de Triomphe de I’Étoile. There was a memorial set up there for the police officer that die during the shooting. After the Arch we walked all the way down that street to go on the ferris wheel. We went shopping on that street and once we finally got the ferris wheel we got to see everything, the Eiffel Tower, the Arch, the Louvre, the garden. Then, I got a crepe and Jordan got a huge cotton candy. Then, we pasted out super early because we had to catch an early flight to Barcelona!!

Stay tuned for the Barcelona post!!
